A Message from
State Fire Marshal Stephen D. Coan

The Board of Fire Prevention Regulations has been extremely active in working with DFS staff to promulgate several new regulations which are of importance to fire safety in the Commonwealth. Please find an advisory from my office along with the updates to 527 CMR on: temporary overnight shelters from the cold; crowd managers; floor finishing; cannons and mortars; and use and storage of alcohol based hand rub preparations.
