Keep Warm Keep Safe Logo

The Department of Fire Services is launching the Keep Warm, Keep Safe (KWKS) campaign once again this year. Heating is the second leading cause of fire deaths in Massachusetts homes and the leading cause of carbon monoxide poisoning.  We hope that you will use the material in our online KWKS toolkit .

Also included in this month’s Briefs are an advisory on 527 CMR 33.00: Hazardous Materials Process or Processing, several training opportunities, info for first responders and the public on the Beat the Beep campaign to replace aging CO alarms and public safety information.

Please be sure to avail yourself to all of the important information contained in the November DFS Briefs.
