* Statutory public hearings are required by law under M.G.L. c. 148, §10. They are traditionally held on the first Thursday in May and the first Thursday in October. The purpose of the statutory public hearing is to allow members of the public to address the Board regarding issues relating to 527 CMR. The Board's sole function at these hearings is to receive comments from the public, not to engage in discussion with interested parties.
