Re: Revocation of License

I wanted to make you aware of a recent Decision and Order issued regarding the Fire Equipment Certificate of Competency (CC # 856) issued to James P. Tecce, 22 Park St., Melrose, MA.

On September 6, 2006, a hearing was conducted regarding Mr. Tecce's workmanship in the fire suppression field. Based on the findings and evidence presented at the hearing, Mr. Tecce's right to conduct all regulated activities under 527 CMR 23.00 were permanently revoked. This would include the service, installation and inspection of self-serve motor fuel facilities, portable fire extinguishers, engineered and pre-engineered systems and hydrostatic testing of cylinders.

Mr. Tecce had been conducting work under the company name of "Patriot Fire Systems". This company does not, nor has it ever possessed, a Certificate of Registration issued by this office.

If you encounter any work that Mr. Tecce or Patriot Fire Systems has recently conducted, please contact the Code Compliance & Enforcement Unit at (978) 567-3375.
