Public Education Conferences - Current and Previous

The Department of Fire Services will host the 18th Annual Public Fire and Life Safety Education Conference on September 27-28, 2012. Classroom teachers, nurses, firefighters, school resource officers and injury prevention experts are invited to join us at the Westford Regency Inn and Conference Center for two days of training and skill development through workshops and general sessions.The keynote speaker will be Princella Lee Bridges, from the NFPA’s Faces of Fire sprinkler initiatives. A general session on hoarding and the fire service will be presented by Judith R. Dicine from the CT Chief State’s Attorney’s Office and Sharon Gamache of the NFPA. Registration deadline is September 14, 2012. The 2012 Fire and Life Safety Educator of the Year Award will be presented on September 28; the nomination deadline is August 31.
