February 13, 2017 – Senior Fire Officer Forum: Surviving the Insult
Keene (NH) Fire Lieutenant William Greenwood will present a Senior Fire Officer Forum on Surviving the Insult on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the DFS Stow campus. All ranks are welcome to this class that will provide a good understanding of modern fire dynamics, flow path consideration and information on why today’s firefighters experience bad things during rapid fire growth. March 1, 2017- Call/Volunteer Firefighter Recruit Class #62 Graduation
The graduation ceremony for the Call/Volunteer Firefighter class #62 will take place in the evening on March 1, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Department of Fire Services, Stow Campus.

March 6, 2017- Call/Volunteer Firefighter Recruit Class #63 Graduation
The graduation ceremony for the Call/Volunteer Firefighter class #63 will take place in the evening on March 6, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Pentucket Regional Middle School.

March 12, 2017- Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery
On March 12, 2017, remember when you change your clock to change the batteries in your smoke alarms, unless they have a sealed, 10-year lithium battery. It’s also a good time to check your carbon monoxide alarms and replace them if they have reached the end of their lives.

March 16, 2017 – YouTube™ High School Burn Awareness Video Contest Awards
The winners of the 2016-17 YouTube™ High School Burn Awareness Video Contest will be announced (and shown) at a ceremony on March 16, 2017 at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Boston at 10:30 a.m.

March 19-25, 2017 - Poison and Inhalant Abuse Prevention Week
March 19-25, 2017 is Poison and Inhalant Abuse Prevention Week. Firefighters respond to all types of poisonings from carbon monoxide poisoning, accidental and intentional overdoses, children accessing medicines and household chemicals and youth who abuse inhalants. Many substances involved in inhalant abuse are also major fire hazards. Nearly 40% of those who die from inhalant abuse were first time users.
