Cross Walk Document – Making the Transition
The purpose of this cross walk document pdf format of cross walk document 
  is to provide a cross reference between sections 527 CMRs 1 to 50 (previous code which ended on December 31, 2014) and the Massachusetts Comprehensive Fire Safety Code. 527 CMR 1.00, which took place on January 1, 2015.  This cross walk document is provided as a convenience to the reader and should not be relied upon for research.

The Board of Fire Prevention Regulations has recommended adoption of NFPA – 1, 2015 edition with Massachusetts amendments.  The adoption process requires review and comment by other state agencies as well as public review and comment.  Upon completion of these review and comment periods, all feedback will be reviewed by the Board of Fire Prevention Regulations (BFPR) and, if necessary, incorporated into the final version which will then be published as an updated regulation.
