The Board of Building Regulations and Standards (BBRS) will hold a public hearing on December 13, 2011 at the State House, Gardner Auditorium, Boston, starting at 12 p.m., to hear public comment on the proposed amendments listed below. BBRS staff is re-posting public comment previously submitted on proposals that were heard in December 2010. The BBRS endorses an open and transparent code adoption process and welcomes additional oral or written comment for consideration at the hearing. Please note that verbal testimony at the hearing will be limited to three minutes per person per issue.

Proposals eligible for adoption and inclusion in the 8th Edition of the State Building Code following the hearings process:

The following proposals will be heard at the December 13, 2011 public hearing solely for purposes of gathering public comment.  These proposals are not eligible for immediate adoption.  If approved by the BBRS after the public hearing, some or all of the petitions listed below may be moved through the formal promulgation process and ultimately adopted by Board members for inclusion in the 8th Edition of the State Building Code.
