State Police Arrest Two Subjects and Seize Large Quantity of Drugs and Cash in Boston

On Wednesday, February 8, 2006, at about 12:30 p.m., based on information developed through a narcotics investigation in conjunction the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), State Police assigned to the Essex County District Attorney's Office stopped a 1998 Volvo on Melena Cass Boulevard in Boston which resulted in the seizure of 20 kilos of cocaine and $20,000 in cash. Two male subjects, age 26 and 24 years of age of Boston were arrested for Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws and Trafficking a Class B Substance.

State Police Detectives, State Police K-9 and Troopers from the South Boston Barracks were involved in the stop and arrest. This investigation into this matter is still under investigation.
