State Police Participate in Law Enforcement Memorial Services in Washington, D.C.

Colonel Mark F. Delaney, members of the Massachusetts State Police and the Family of Trooper Paul F. Barry participated in the Annual National Law Enforcement Memorial events honoring police officers who were killed in the line of duty during the past year. On Sunday, May 13, 2007, members of the Department, Sgt. Mark Caron - official Barry Family liaison, Sgt. Karen DeMasi, and the Barry Family participated in the 19 ^th Annual Candlelight Vigil which was held at the Law Enforcement Memorial. On Tuesday, May 15 ^th, the members including a State Police Color Guard participated in 26 ^th Annual National Peace Officers Memorial Service which was held at the United States Capitol, Washington, D.C. President George W. Bush was the guest speaker at this event and personally met with the Barry Family to offer his condolences on the loss of Trooper Paul Francis Barry.
