
Once again the Massachusetts State Police Mounted Unit cut an impressive figure along the parade route on St. Patrick's Day in South Boston on Sunday, March 20. In an era when many major police departments have disbanded their mounted units, the French and Electric Blue proudly continue the tradition. State Police horses give troopers access to types of terrain that no cruiser could traverse, provided vital crowd control duties, patrol beaches and parks - and are a huge hit with members of the public wherever they go.
