ANOTHER MOST WANTED SEX OFFENDER IS ARRESTED

ANOTHER MOST WANTED SEX OFFENDER IS ARRESTED

Today, at about 6:30a.m., Alvin B. Fields, Jr., age 34, was arrested at 17 Great Oak Road in Mashpee, Massachusetts by members of the State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS), State Police Detectives assigned to the Cape and Islands District Attorney's Office and members of the Mashpee Police Department. The arrest came as a result of information developed by the State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS) based on a "tip" called into the 1-800-Kapture line.

FIELDS was wanted for failure to register as a sex offender and was also wanted by the Kingston & Plymouth Police Departments for indecent exposure and 2 counts of lewdness / open & gross behavior. Warrants had been issued out of Plymouth District Court, Wareham District Court & Plymouth Superior Court for his arrest. He was booked at the State Police Barracks in Bourne. A courtesy booking was done at the Mashpee Police Department. Fields was subsequently transported to Falmouth District Court for arraignment.

Fields was one of the individuals included on the most recent State Police Wanted High Risk Sex Offenders list which was just released on November 25, 2006 - his arrest is the fourth arrest of an individual on this newly posted list.
