State Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Route 93 North in Boston
Preliminary investigation by Trooper Denis Pembroke indicates 43-year-old Mark A. Zielinski of Quincy was operating a 1990 Honda VT1100 in the left lane of Rte 93 North when he lost control of the motorcycle. The Honda struck the Jersey-Barrier on the left side of the roadway and both Zielinski and the passenger 50-year-old Luz Argon of Boston were thrown from the motorcycle. Zielinski sustained fatal injures and was declared deceased at the scene. Argon sustained serious injuries and was transported to Mass General Hospital by ambulance.
This crash remains under investigation with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section. The Boston Fire Department, Boston EMS and Mass Turnpike Maintenance assisted troopers at the scene.
Due to the investigation and vehicle recovery the left two lanes of Rte 93 North were closed for approximately 2 ½ hours.
