State Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Frontage Rd. Boston

Yesterday, at approximately 5:20 p.m. troopers assigned to the State Police Ted Williams Tunnel Barracks responded to a single motorcycle crash southbound on Frontage Rd. in Boston that resulted in one fatality.

Preliminary investigation by Trooper Kevin Sweeney indicates that 60 year old Gregory F. Flaherty of East Taunton was operating a 1993 Harley Davidson FXLR motorcycle southbound on Frontage Rd. by the Mass Ave. Connector when he lost control of the motorcycle and struck a concrete wall. Flaherty sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported to Boston Medical Center by Boston EMS where he was later declared deceased.

This crash remains under investigation with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section. Boston EMS assisted troopers at the scene.

Traffic was not restricted during the vehicle recovery and investigation.
