State Police Investigate Serious One-Vehicle Crash on Route 2 East in Concord

Today, at approximately 2:22 a.m., State Police assigned to the Concord Barracks responded to a one-vehicle crash on Route 2 East at the Concord Rotary in Concord.

Preliminary investigation by Trooper Kevin Haley indicates that a 2006 Chevy sedan was traveling eastbound on Route 2 and crashed into the Concord Rotary and rolled over in the rotary. The operator, 39 year-old Lori K. Lapiere-Desalvo of Townsend, was taken with serious injuries to Emerson Hospital and subsequently taken by MedFlight to Mass. General Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section (C.A.R.S.) and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section. The Concord Fire and Police Departments, Acton Police Department and personnel from MassHighways assisted troopers at the scene.

Route 2 eastbound is closed at School Street to the Concord Rotary for the duration of the crash investigation.
