State Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Route 126 West in Concord

Today at approximately 12:06 p.m. troopers assigned to the State Police Barracks in Concord responded to a single vehicle crash on Route 126 West in the Town of Concord that resulted in one fatality.

Preliminary investigation by Trooper Edward Keefe indicates that 78 year-old Richard A. Nenneman of Lincoln was operating a 2003 BMW 525 on Route 126 West in Concord when the vehicle drifted off of the roadway to the right striking a utility pole just beyond the intersection of Route 2. Nenneman was transported by ambulance to Emerson Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. It is unknown if Nenneman was wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash.

This crash remains under investigation with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section. The Concord Police and Fire Departments assisted troopers at the scene.

No further information is available at this time. Please do not call the barracks directly.
