State Police Complete Memorial Day Weekend "Click it or Ticket" Mobilization

The Massachusetts State Police in conjunction with several local police departments conducted sobriety checkpoints over the Memorial Day Weekend and conducted additional enforcement efforts as part of the " Click It or Ticket" mobilization funded by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety. Four (4) sobriety checkpoints were conducted statewide and the state police BAT (Breath Alcohol Testing) Mobile assisted at two of the checkpoints located in Peabody and Dorchester.

The state police enforcement efforts concluded with the following results:

  • OUI Arrests
  • Suspension/Revocation Arrests
  • Other Misdemeanor Arrests
  • Criminal Summonses
  • Civil Speeding
  • Speed Warnings
  • Seatbelt/Child Restraint Violations
  • Other Violations
  • Other Warnings

Through education and enforcement, the Massachusetts State Police continue to strive for voluntary compliance with the rules of the road and motor vehicle law. While alcohol and drug use continues to be a contributing factor in some motor vehicle crashes and fatalities, the state police continue their diligent efforts.
