State Police Receive Reconditioned Roll-Over Simulator

On Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 10:00 a.m., students from the Bristol-Plymouth Regional Vocational Technical School in Taunton will present a reconditioned "Roll-Over Simulator" to members of the Massachusetts State Police. This event will signify the participation of the Massachusetts State Police in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's "Click It or Ticket" Mobilization which focuses on increasing safety belt use in the Commonwealth.

Members of the Massachusetts State Police and students from the vocational school's auto body shop will be meeting with members of the media to unveil the newly reconditioned "Roll-Over Simulator" designed to educate the public about the need for individual safety belt and restraint use.

The Massachusetts State Police and more than 230 local police departments state-wide are currently participating in the national "Click It or Ticket" mobilization which runs from May 21, 2007 through June 3, 2007. This mobilization is made possible by funding provided by the Executive Office of Public Safety, Office of Grants & Research, Highway Safety Division.

The May 22 nd media event will take place at the Bristol-Plymouth Regional Vocational Technical School and will include a "roll-over" demonstration along with several guest speakers.
