State Police Investigate Serious Crash on Storrow Drive in Boston

Today, at approximately 2:57 a.m., troopers assigned to the State Police Barracks in Boston responded to a two motorcycle crash on Storrow Drive in Boston that resulted in a serious injury.

Preliminary investigation by Trooper Luis Santiago indicates that a 23-year-old adult male of Boston, Ma. was operating a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle on Storrow Drive East at David G. Mugar Way in Boston when the crash occurred. The operator of a 2004 Kawasaki motorcycle was also involved in a crash and fled the scene. The operator of the Yamaha was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital with serious injuries. His identity is being withheld pending proper family notification.

This crash remains under investigation with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, State Police Crime Scene Services Section. Also, Boston Fire Department, and Boston EMS assisted troopers at the scene.
