State Police Add Five High Risk Sex Offenders to the Most Wanted Sex Offender List

Today, the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section announced the addition of five High Risk Level 3 Sex Offenders to the Top 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender List. Since its inception in November of 2004, 55 sex offenders have appeared on the Massachusetts Most Wanted Sex Offender List. To date, 48 of the 55 sex offenders that have appeared on the list have been apprehended. As part of a collaborative effort between the State Police, Local Police, the Office of the Commissioner of Probation, the Sex Offender Registry Board, and District Attorneys Offices throughout the Commonwealth, eight High Risk Sex Offenders appearing on the Most Wanted List were apprehended in the last month alone.

Daniel J. Moody is wanted by the Framingham Police Department for 4 counts of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, subsequent offense. This is Daniel Moody's second time on the Top 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender List and he is considered to pose the most serious threat of the five new additions to the list. Captain Richard Prior, Commanding Officer of the State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section, stated: "Given his propensity for violence and his inability to comply with his registration requirements, Daniel Moody's apprehension is a top priority of the unit".

Edwardo Bueno is a multi-state offender wanted by the Lynn Police Department for two counts of Statutory Rape and three counts of Indecent Assault and Battery on a Child Under 14.

John J. Freitas is wanted by the North Attleboro Police Department for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and Motor Vehicle Violations.

Pedro Munoz is a multi-state offender wanted by the Massachusetts State Police, West Boylston Police Department and Leominster Police Department for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Operating Under the Influence, and Failure to Pay Child Support.

Gerry A. Lewis is wanted by the Westminster Police Department, Springfield Police Department, and South Hadley Police Department for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Unarmed Robbery and Larceny over $250.
