State Police Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Route 495 North in Methuen
Preliminary investigation by Trooper John McNeil indicates that a 1997 GMC Sierra pickup truck being operated by 47 year-old Raymond Cerri of Derry, NH, was traveling north on Route 495 in Methuen near Exit 46 (Route 110) when it struck a pedestrian in the roadway. The pedestrian, 27 year-old Brandi Sullivan-Feole of Haverhill, MA, sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene. Cerri was uninjured.
This crash remains under investigation with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the State Police Crime Scene Services Section and State Police Detectives assigned to Essex County. The Methuen Fire Department and EMS, and MassHighway assisted Troopers at the scene.
Due to the investigation, the right travel lane of Route 495 North was closed for approximately 2 hours.
