April 24: State Police Arrest Person Subdued on Plane

Today at 9:45 pm a passenger aboard Delta flight 86 was subdued when he was observed trying to gain access to the cockpit while flying from JFK to Tel Aviv. 22 year old Itay ATMOR of Israel was arrested by State Police after the plane was diverted and landed at 10:00 pm in the north cargo area of Logan Airport. ATMOR was found secured in a passenger seat and placed in custody without incident. He is charged with interfering with a flight crew and will be arraigned at East Boston District Court on Monday. The aircraft and its' passengers are being held at this time pending FBI questioning of ATMOR.
