State Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Route 495 in Wrentham
Preliminary investigation by Trooper Christopher Booth indicates that a 2000 Dodge Dakota pickup operated by 46 year-old Jeffrey D. Duhamel of Weymouth was traveling south on Route 495 when it veered left and rolled into the median, struck a tree with the roof and came to rest on the driver's side. Duhamel, the sole occupant was wearing his seatbelt and was extracted by Wrentham Fire Department. He suffered serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

This crash is under investigation with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, State Police Crime Scene Services Section and the State Police Troop Investigators. Wrentham Fire, Police and EMS, Plainville Police and Mass Highways assisted Troopers at the scene.
Due to the crash investigation and vehicle removal, the left and center lanes of Route 495 southbound were closed for approximately three hours.
