State Police Investigate Serious Crash on Route 3 in Pembroke

On Thursday, April 22, 2010, at approximately 1:40 p.m., Troopers assigned to the State Police Barracks in Norwell responded to a single-vehicle crash on Route 3 north just south of exit 12 (Route 139) in Pembroke, that resulted in two serious injuries.

Preliminary investigation by Trooper Nancy Collins indicates that a 1993 Toyota pick-up truck operated by 26-year-old Stephen Kendrick of Carver was traveling on Route 3 north when it rolled over several times before coming to rest in the travel lane. Kendrick and a passenger, 24-year-old Jessica Stark of Scituate, were both ejected from the pick-up. Both occupants were transported by ambulance to South Shore Hospital with serious injuries.

The facts and circumstances surrounding this crash remain under investigation at this time.

This crash remains under investigation with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section.
