State Police Investigate Fatal Crash in Oxford

Yesterday at 8:16 a.m. troopers from the Massachusetts State Police Barracks in Sturbridge responded to a one-car fatal crash on Route 395 in Oxford.

Preliminary investigation by Trooper Scott Shea indicates that a 1995 Ford Windstar, operated by Michael Derosier, 54, of Grosvenordale, Connecticut, was traveling on Route 395 northbound when the Ford ran off the roadway to the right striking some brush. Derosier was transported to Saint Vincents Hospital by ambulance where he later died at the hospital.

The facts and circumstances of the crash remain under investigation by Troop C of the Massachusetts State Police, with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Scene Services section. Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Oxford Fire Department.
