State Police Arrest Two Men for Trafficking Cocaine and an Illegal Handgun

On Wednesday June 2, 2010 at 9:10 p.m., Trooper Scott Pillsbury was on patrol of Route 84 in Sturbridge when he stopped a 2004 Nissan Maxima for speeding and failing to use a directional.

During the vehicle stop and ensuing investigation, Trooper Pillsbury located a large capacity Desert Eagle 9mm handgun, hidden inside the vehicle, under about ½ kilo (approximately 500 grams) of what is believed to be cocaine.

Arrested as a result of this motor-vehicle stop were 24-year-old Erik Diaz of 266 Lake Av in Wentworth NH and 26-year-old Jose Ocasio Jr of 1939 Park Pl in Brooklyn NY.

Erik Diaz is being charged with:
Illegal Possession of a large Capacity handgun
Trafficking Cocaine
Speeding
Failing to use signals

Jose Ocasio Jr is being charged with:
Illegal Possession of a large Capacity handgun
Trafficking Cocaine

Trooper Phyllis Kossack and Trooper Scott Driscoll assisted at the scene.
