State Police Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Route 93 in Wilmington
Preliminary investigation by Trooper James Foley indicates that 47-year-old Thatcher Hoang of Wilmington may have jumped from an overpass and was subsequently struck by a commercial vehicle being operated by Brian Levins, 19, of Cambridge.
HOANG was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding EMS personnel.
The facts and circumstances remain under investigation by Troop A of the Massachusetts State Police with assistance from the State Police Crime Scene Services Section, the State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section, the State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section, and troopers from the Middlesex District Attorney's office.
Troopers were also assisted at the scene by the Wilmington Police Department, the Wilmington Fire Department, and the Department of Transportation Highway Division.
