State Police Investigate Serious Personal Injury Crash

Today at 12:10 a.m., troopers from the State Police Barracks at the Ted William's Tunnel responded to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Albany Street and Herald Street in Boston.

Preliminary investigation by Trooper Joseph Leblanc indicates that Wei Lin, 42 of Orange, was operating a 2004 Toyota Camry which struck a pedestrian. The unidentified victim was transported to New England Medical Center, by Boston EMS, with serious injuries.

The facts and circumstance of this crash remain under investigation by Troop E of the Massachusetts State Police with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section, the State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and State Police Detectives from the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.

Troopers were additionally assisted at the scene by the Boston Police Department and Boston EMS personnel.
