Mr. Lynch was taken by medical helicopter to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries.
The left and middle travel lanes of Route 24 south were closed for approximately 2 hours while the investigation was conducted. All travel lanes of Route 24, both North and South, were closed for approximately 30 minutes while the medical helicopter landed to transport the victim.
This crash remains under investigation by Troop D of the Massachusetts State Police with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Scene Service Section. No charges are expected to be filed.
