State Police Investigating Pedestrian Crash in Quincy

Today at 8:54 p.m., Troopers from the State Police Barracks in South Boston responded to calls of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Quincy Shore Drive at West Elm Street in Quincy.

Preliminary Investigation by Trooper Keith MacAuliffe indicates that a 31-year-old woman from Quincy stepped off the curb and into the path of a 2002 Mercedes C240 being operated by 83-year-old Arthur Choo. Mr. Choo's hometown is not available at this time.

As a result of the crash, the woman received minor injuries and was transported to Boston Medical Center by responding EMS personnel.

The woman's identity is being withheld until the morning so that her family can be properly notified of her injuries.

No other information will be released tonight. Please do not call the barracks directly.
