State Police Arrest Violent Fugitive
Members of the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section located and apprehended DANIEL DUBIE, 28, of Framingham after stopping his car in Ashland.
On January 4, DUBIE retrieved a handgun and proceeded to load it in front of his girlfriend and three-year-old daughter. He then placed the loaded weapon to his girlfriend's head and threatened to kill her.
With his daughter pleading with him not to hurt her mother, DUBIE fled the area.
With information provided by the Framingham Police Department and its own intelligence, the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section set up surveillance on a house on Raymond Marchetti Way in Ashland.
At approximately 8:40 p.m. troopers observed DUBIE enter a motor vehicle and leave the area. Troopers followed him for a short distance, then executed a plan to box in the car without putting the public at risk. They then apprehended DUBIE without incident.
DUBIE is charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, witness intimidation, and threats to commit a crime. He has been turned over to the custody of the Framingham Police Department.
Troopers at the scene were assisted by the Ashland Police Department.
All further inquiries should be directed to the Framingham Police Department.
