State Police Investigating Serious Crash on Route 93 in Boston
Preliminary investigation by Trooper Brian Sullivan indicates that Anna Missakiane, 26, of Lynn, was operating a 2011 Dodge Avenger the wrong way in the fourth travel lane when she struck a 2007 Honda Pilot being operated by Faith Jorge, 33, of Taunton. As a result of the initial crash, two other vehicles became involved as well, a 2001 Mercedes ML320 being operated by Toljan Mico, 20, of Quincy, and a 2008 Suzuki motorcycle being operated by Patrick Ford, 36, of Pembroke
Missakiane was entrapped in her vehicle and was extricated by members of the Boston Fire Department. Missakiane and Jorge were transported to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries while Ford was transported to New England Medical Center also with serious injuries.
All southbound traffic was diverted off the highway at Exit 12 for approximately four hours while the accident scene was investigated. The roadway re-opened shortly after 5 a.m.
The facts and circumstances of the crash remain under investigation by Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section. Also assisting at the scene were the Boston Fire Department and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, Highway Division.
