Apr 26: State Police Advisory: Fatal Crash on Route 6 in Bourne 042612
Last night at 12:05 a.m., troopers assigned to the Massachusetts State Police Barracks in Bourne responded to reports of a single car motor vehicle crash on Route 6 eastbound, East of Exit 1, in Bourne that resulted in a fatality.
Preliminary investigation by Troopers Michael Kadingo and Jeffery Diotte indicates that a 2006 Toyota 4 Runner was being operated by Nathan Moore, a 32 year old male from Sandwich, Massachusetts. The vehicle was driving eastbound when, for reasons yet unknown, the vehicle rolled over into the median side guardrail where the vehicle came to rest.
The Bourne Fire Department extracted Moore from the car where he was pronounced deceased.
The facts and circumstances of the crash still remain under investigation by Troop D of the Massachusetts State Police with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section. The Bourne Fire Department and EMS also assisted at the scene.
