Mar 08: State Police Identify Suspects in January Beatings in Boston Parking Garage
A Massachusetts State Police investigation has resulted in the identification of numerous suspects who beat four victims inside a parking garage in January.
At 2:43 a.m. on Jan. 27, Massachusetts State Police responded to a report of a large fight inside the State Transportation Building parking garage, 10 Park Plaza, Boston. Upon arrival troopers were met by four victims. Two male victims had been severally beaten and were transported to a local hospital, where they were treated for their injuries. Two female victims also suffered minor injuries. The victims reported that they had been attacked by a group of between 10-20 people while they were waiting to exit the parking garage.
Troopers learned that the fight was captured on video by several onlookers as well as on the surveillance cameras in the parking garage. A investigation by troopers and detectives assigned to Troop H led to the identification of numerous suspects.
Two suspects were arrested on March 5 by the State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section:
-TRONG HUYNH, 25, of Quincy, charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot), assault and battery, affray, and disorderly conduct;
-ROBERT TRAN, 27, of Randolph, charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot), assault and battery, affray, and disorderly conduct.
HUYNH and TRAN were arraigned last week in the Boston Municipal Court.
Twelve other suspects have been identified and are being summonsed into Boston Municipal Court next month. The investigation remains open and investigators are working to identify three remaining suspects. No further information is being released at this time.
