Information regarding DVDs for the new NICE recorders
As you are aware PSAPs are responsible for supplying DVDs for the NICE recorders. It is important to note that NICE will only support the Panasonic 9.4 GB DVD (Part # LM-HB94LU). Use of any other type of DVD could jeopardize the integrity of your archived recordings. You can expect to store 640 (320 per side) channel hours per DVD.
Please remember to keep your NICE Supervision application logged in on the Administrator position in order to receive alerts when the DVD is full and needs to be flipped over or changed out. You can find a
Job Aid
for changing the DVD on our website under PSAP Resources.
