Q: Can I take my exam in a language other than English?
A: No.
Q: My license is about to or has expired; what should I do?
A: Call the Department at (617) 727-3200 ext. 25246 and request to speak with the Cashiers Office.
Q: What if I changed my address?
A: It is your responsibility to notify the Department of any change in your personal information.
Q: My license expired, and it has been over one year. Can I renew without taking an exam?
A: No. By law, you must be re-examined after your license has been expired for more than one year. See M.G.L. c. 146, §85; G.L. c. 143, §§ 71(c), 71(g) at www.mass.gov/legis.
