The "Make the Right Call" campaign is sponsored by the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, Highway Safety Division (EOPSS/HSD) to raise awareness throughout the Commonwealth about the dangers of drinking and driving. In 2012, over a 1/3 of all traffic fatalities in Massachusetts involved a driver or motorcycle operator with a BAC (blood alcohol content) over .08. In an effort to reduce the number of fatalities involving an impaired driver, EOPSS/HSD wants you to "Make the Right Call" and allow someone else - a designated driver, taxi, or public transportation - to drive you home instead of getting behind the wheel after drinking.
