The Essex County Sheriff regional emergency communications center (RECC) project includes the towns of Amesbury, Beverley, Essex, Middleton, Topsfield, and Wenham. This group has a signed IMA to form a RECC. Construction of new building that will house the RECC began in September 2011 at the Essex County Sheriff’s location in Middleton. The RECC is expected to be in service in early 2013. The structure is being built to accommodate expansion.
