Pursuant to Funds Appropriated in Chapter 139 of the Acts of 2012, the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (EOPSS) announces the anticipated availability of funds to: Restore laid off sworn officers; Retain officers that would otherwise be laid off during the current fiscal year if not for this funding; Restore staffing levels due to attrition and other reasons; Restore or retain civilian employees; and /or Restore enforcement-related overtime staffing. 

The following nine municipalities are currently eligible to apply: LOWELL, BROCKTON, LYNN, FALL RIVER, NEWTON, LAWRENCE, SOMERVILLE, FRAMINGHAM, and HAVERHILL. For more information, contact Daniel Cooper, Grants Management Specialist, at 617-725-3311.
