On Wednesday, July 16th the 1st SPMA reached the halfway mark of their twenty-one weeks of training. In recognition of their accomplishments Chief Jim Hicks, Chairman of the Municipal Police Training Committee addressed the class. Chief Hicks gave a motivating speech; he informed the class much is expected from the 1st SPMA. Chief Hicks cautioned the class that the next ten weeks will be as demanding as the previous eleven. This week the class completed their second PT Test; scores improved remarkably.This weeks schedule included instruction in Computer Crimes and Forensics, Ethics, Criminal Law, Patrol Procedures and Domestic Terrorism. Training is progressing well and the class is working as a team.
