State Police Municipal Academy Student Officers have completed their fifth week of training. Week five included Motor Vehicle Law, Criminal law, Patrol Procedures, Defensive Tactics, Report Writing, Juvenile Gangs, Narcotics Identification and Leadership. The training continues to be split among state and municipal police officers. This week, the Department of Youth Services supplied staff to provide quality training in Juvenile Gangs. Captain Campurciani, of the West Springfield Police Department, has been teaching Criminal Law to the Student Officers, while Sergeant Watts, of the Worcester Police Department, has been teaching Patrol Procedures.
