SPMA #2 has successfully completed fifteen weeks of training at the State Police Academy. During week fifteen, Student Officers received classes in Eyewitness Identification, Criminal Procedure, Defensive Tactics, Elder Affairs, Initial Response to Crime Scene, Radar and Introduction to Physical Confrontation (boxing). The Elder Affairs training was presented by representatives from the AG's Office and Executive Office of Elder Affairs. Sgt. Sellon, Mansfield PD, assisted in the instruction of Criminal Procedure. SPMA #2 completed their third comprehensive exam on Thursday afternoon.

This week also included the second iteration of scenario training which enlisted the support of personnel from many outside agencies who acted as role players and FTO's. The scenarios consisted of various traffic stops as well as calls for service. The following police departments assisted MSP personnel with scenario training; Needham, Templeton, Salem State College, Brookline, Northborough, Methuen, Mass. Environmental Police, Salisbury, Lakeville, Marlborough and Swansea. SPMA #1, SSPO #21 graduates and the Military Police from Hanscom Airforce Base assisted as well.
