As the 77 th RTT enters its nineteenth week of training, a number of changes are set to occur. First, the recruit class has concluded the eight week "round robin" training. During the past eight weeks the troop had been split up to attend firearms training, water safety and driver training. The entire troop will now be back in New Braintree where they will begin training together again, with a special focus on drill. Additionally, the recruits will be entering Phase Three of the training process. During this phase of training the transition from the academy environment to working in the real world begins. The training regimen is modified to allow the recruits to work in an environment of increased responsibility. Troop movement and accountability becomes the responsibility of the recruit class. Recruits are placed in a position of authority and leadership. Lessons are designed to allow the recruits to demonstrate their capabilities through practical applications. This enables the Staff to evaluate the leadership potential of each recruit.

77 th RTT graduation is April 21, 2005 at the Mullins Center, University of Massachusetts in Amherst. See you there!!
