$6.2 million in Edward J. Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (Byrne JAG) Recovery Act funds awarded to local law enforcement agencies through a competitive process. The primary purpose of these funds is to help agencies address those staffing reductions incurred since July 1, 2008 that significantly impact public safety.
