The primary mission of the Digital Evidence and Multimedia Section (D.E.M.S.) is to perform computer forensic examinations for state and local law enforcement within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The D.E.M.S. is committed to conducting impartial and objective examinations using the best available tools and in accordance with ASCLD/LAB accreditation and procedures.
In addition, the D.E.M.S. is dedicated to supporting investigations conducted by Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Forces throughout the United States. The D.E.M.S. is committed to providing training to law enforcement officials throughout Massachusetts concerning the proper seizure, storage, and analysis of digital devices.
