The main building houses Troop "D" headquarters, a substation and various specialty units. Adjacent buildings supply support functions such as vehicle maintenance, radio repair and communications equipment/towers. The current building was opened in 1956 and replaced previous headquarters location in Middleboro, the State Prison facility at Bridgewater and a barracks in West Bridgewater.

Middleboro's patrol area is home to Massasoit State Park in East Taunton. Four lakes provide excellent fishing. Swimming, biking, canoeing, walking, hiking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing and ice fishing are popular activities.
