Bourne is primarily responsible for patrolling 12 miles of Route 3 from Plymouth to the Bourne, 8 miles of Route 6 from Bourne to Sandwich, 10 miles of Route 25 from Wareham to the Bourne Bridge, 3 miles of Route 495 in Wareham and 9 miles of Route 195 from Mattapoisett to Wareham. This barracks also provides 114 miles of secondary patrol coverage of Routes 28, 3A and 6.
Bourne also patrols the Massachusetts Military Reservation in Bourne, which includes Camp Edwards, Otis Air Force Base, the U.S. Coast Guard and the 104 th Fighter Wing of the Air National Guard. This reservation is home to more than 2,000 residents.
Bourne handles incidents at Myles Standish State Park in South Carver. This park offers 16 ponds, camping, swimming, fishing and canoeing. Other features include bicycle trails, equestrian trails and hiking trails.
The Pilgrim Nuclear Plant in Plymouth lies within the boundaries of the Bourne barracks.
