The research unit compiles an annual report that details research trends in the parole population, including the number of parole hearings held, parole revocations issued, releases to parole supervision, and the number parolees who completed their period of supervision. The report is compiled by Research Analyst Stephanie Geary from statistics provided by every unit in the agency, including field services, transitional services, warrants and apprehension, and reentry.

In addition to the annual reports, the research analyst also makes statistical information available to the public.
