Overview: In an effort to promote successful offender reentry, the Reentry Services Division has coordinated "in-reach" presentations for inmates preparing for release. These presentations include outside speakers who come in to each facility on a regular basis to inform inmates who are within six months of their release about the wide array of services available to them.

Presenters include staff from the Department's Reentry Services Division, Parole Board's Regional Reentry Centers and Transitional Housing Program, MassHealth, and when available, the Division of Career Services or local One Stop Career Center. The presentations are held on a regular basis, and inmates are informed about the DOC's Reentry Housing Program, Parole's Transitional Housing Program, MassHealth Pilot Program, services offered at the Regional Reentry Centers and how to prepare for their post-release employment search by effectively accessing the network of One Stop Career Centers located throughout Massachusetts.

Informational handouts are distributed by each speaker for reference and feedback forms are given to inmates to measure the effectiveness of the presentations to ensure the information is meeting their needs.
