Overview: Working with the Massachusetts Parole Board, the Department of Correction transferred the responsibility and funding for its network of Community Resource Centers (CRC's) to the MA Parole Board, in recognition of the mission of Parole as the lead agency for post-release reentry. Parole's Regional Reentry Centers (RRC's) began operations in 2004 and since that time DOC has been discharging eligible offenders (those state inmates without post-release supervision) to the RRC's. Parole operates RRC's in the following areas: Springfield, Quincy, Lawrence, Framingham, Brockton, New Bedford and Worcester.
